How long have you been in business?

DMRS Tech has been in operation as a business since April 2018, however, I've been a hobbiest in consumer electronics repair for 30+ years.  It's only been since 2018 that I decided I wanted to do electronics repair as a full-time job.  I didn't want to have a specific field (just smartphone repair or just computer repair) so I decided to start DMRS Tech.  What I repair, there are no limitations!

Why don't you have a store front?

​

DMRS Tech is a one man operation and I have the extra space for a fully operational repair shop within my home.  Rather than lease a storefront and have that overhead, plus much more, I decided to keep it simple by keeping overhead low and keep general costs down.  This way when you pay for your repair, you're paying strictly for the repair and labour involved, nothing more!  Bottom line is, you pay less!

You're not a big business.  Why should I trust you?

​

I've worked for large companies in the past and I know how they treat their clients.  The way I stand out from them is that I offer a more personalized experience.  At the end of the day, I'm also a consumer and I wouldn't want to treat any of my clients how I myself wouldn't want to be treated.  My mission is to repair your broken electronic devices and offer the best customer service experience while doing so and to create a customer for life.

I'm not so sure on dealing with a repair shop that I found on Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji...

I can completely understand your concern with this topic!  I'm the first person to be weary of dealing with any person or business I find online.  I can assure you that I am a legitimate repair shop and that I'm not here to rip you off.  I am completely transparent in my details that I forward to you in regards to your device that needs to be repaired.  After diagnosing the issue, I will let you know the cost of the repair and I await your approval before any work continues.  Throughout working on your device, if anything needs to be communicated to you, I will keep you in the loop.

What about the items you keep (or don't keep) in stock?

​

Most common items are in stock in my shop.  However, there are times when some parts need to be ordered from one of my supply houses.  If this is the case for your specific item to be repaired, this will be communicated to you in detail.

Is there a waiting area to hang out in while you repair my device?

​

Sorry, DMRS Tech is not a "while you wait" operation.  However, I will try to have your device repaired in a timely fashion.

Do you offer on-site / mobile repairs?

​

Not at this time.  Perhaps in the future.​

I'm a do-it-yourself kind of person.  Could I just purchase parts from you?

​

Sorry, at this time I'm not selling parts to the public.

What brands do you repair?

​

Everything!  If it exists, it's been on my repair bench.  Toshiba, Sony, Denon, Pioneer, Technics, Candle, Citizen, RCA, LG, Nakamichi, Kenwood, Alpine, Bose, Crown, Behringer...  The list goes on and on!

Is there a specific format of electronics that you repair?

​

I've worked on them all.  Tube based electronics, through-hole electronics and surface mount electronics.  I'm prepared for anything!
